Autumn Half Term - Build-a-Guy Workshops
Umberslade Farm Park in Tanworth-in-Arden is inviting local children to build their own guy for bonfire night in their family workshops running from Saturday 22nd October until Sunday 30th October 2011.
Children of all ages will be provided with the materials needed to create a fantastic Guy Fawkes which will be displayed in the Umberslade Guy Gallery. A panel of judges from Umberslade will then choose the very best guys to be burnt on the Tanworth-in-Arden bonfire being held at Umberslade Farm Park on 6th November 2011.
Oliver Muntz, owner of Umberslade Farm Park said: “Every year the children have such a fantastic time building and decorating their own guys. The Umberslade staff also love getting stuck in alongside the kids to come up with some really creative and colourful guys – it almost seems a shame to put them on the bonfire!”
Vistors are provided with all of the resources such as straw, sticks, paints and old clothing supplied for them by the farm park and will be shown and supervised on how to build it from scratch.
The Build-a-Guy workshops are included as part of the standard entry ticket which gives visitors access to the full farm park, including the regular animal feeding sessions, tractor rides, and all the usual farmyard fun at Umberslade.
Umberslade Farm Park is also hosting a separate ticketed family fireworks and bonfire night party on Saturday 5th November, 5 – 7pm. Tickets can be purchased in advance at the farm park.
Umberslade Farm Park is open every day of the week from 10am until 5pm and can be found in Tanworth-in-Arden, just 10 minutes from junction 3 of the M42 and 5 miles from Henley-in-Arden. For more information visit www.umberslade.com.
