Summer Fete 2011
Umberslade Farm Park in Tanworth-in-Arden has announced it will host a quintessentially English Summer Fete over the August Bank Holiday weekend (27th to 29th August 2011).
The Umberslade Summer Fete will include all the usual family favourites such as face painting, pony rides, and a coconut shy with some quirky farmyard fun thrown in! Children of all ages will be able to take part in the welly-wanging championship and farmyard ferret racing. And for the adults a specially installed ‘Straw Bar’ will be serving a wide selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks including Pimms and real ale.
Oliver Muntz, director at Umberslade Farm Park said: “What’s more English than a traditional summer fete on the August bank holiday? We’re going to pull out all the stops with traditional games and activities but of course we couldn’t resist some farmyard fun!”
As well as the special summer fete fun Umberslade will also continue to offer it’s full schedule of farmyard activities. Children will have the opportunity to get up close and personal with the gorgeous baby piglets, lambs and kid goats. And if they’re feeling adventurous they can even have a go feeding the baby animals.
The Umberslade Summer Fete will be open from Saturday 27th August until bank holiday Monday 29th August 2011 inclusive.
Umberslade Farm Park is situated 10 minutes from junction 3 of the M42 and 5 miles from Henley-in-Arden. The farm is open seven days a week to the public and school groups during term time.
